Redwoods

I've just about caught up on everything this week, expect a great review of Soapnutz this week. I've had a lot of cleaning to do. But I'm glad its done, Ryan will be going out of town for a few days this week, so I should have a few days to keep the place looking tidy

So, not wanting to dissapoint, I decided to put some pictures of our trip to Armstrong Woods, in Guernville, CA. I lived here while I was pregnant with Annabella, its a strange little town, and I was happy to move out, but there are lots of redwoods, so I love to go pretend I'm an elf.

Annabella was ready to go!

we should have looked at this first, but we ended up getting a little bit lost and taking a picture of the map so we would remember how to get back!
pretending I live in a tree

We couldn't manage a picture without her trying to eat dirt

I'm always a fan of water in the woods
Heather is so artsy with the Sepia
She started to get a little bit tired
crazy burnt up roots
make great photos
for all involved
I think these were roots as well
By the end of the day we were ready to go home!

A few from Yesterday

Well I finished the quilt for Bo Bo

I love how colorful it is
its my best appliqué yet
Ryan likes the space monkeys best
still working on those mitered corners
this fleece is so comfy!

I also refashioned a pair of jeans for myself

It had been a while so I forgot how easy this was, I have more jeans that I will be doing this with.

Annabella has been sitting up like a champ lately

A busy week and a special visit

Hello everyone!

I know its been a while
But I have a few good excuses

It has been getting nicer everyday

Right now is my favorite time in Northern California
well one of them (autum is breathtaking)
Right now is the time of year that it just keeps getting nicer and nicer out, its been warmer every day, its warm and we have been taking walks, and going to the beach,  we also made some footprints to send to the Grandparents

Heather has arrived
She got here on St. Patty's Day
It has felt like forever since I last saw her and considering we were pretty much joined at the hip for about six years, a year is a long time to be apart! Needless to say, its already Sunday and we only have till Tuesday morning

Annabella loves Heather, she seems to know exactly who she is and I'm sure she'll miss her when she leaves.

We went to Goat Rock Beach in Bodega Bay on Friday and saw this little guy all by himself in the grass.

Annabella's eyes seem to be starting to change from their beautiful blue color, so I've started putting her in blue as often as possible to make them stand out

Annabella's father swears that she said 'duck' the other day, she's had 'Dada' down for about two weeks now,  still no mama, she's been eating some
Earth's Best Oatmeal Cereal 8 oz
and bananas. I still haven't bought any jarred food, I don't really see the point yet, I'm sure that I will in the future, but for now I just give her the fruit mashed up, she also eats avocado when we go out, no reactions to anything!

Here's a picture of Annabella with her duck

She pulled it out of one of her soft books.

I should be back to normal posting in a few days, as for now, I am enjoying every moment with my best friend

Stay tuned for a couple giveaways next month!

Brallelujah

ITS HERE!
My mom ordered me thela leche league bamboo nursing bra after finding out that the bravado was discontinued

I was so nervous
I opened the package

Inside was a sealed ziplock baggie with a soft pink bra inside, its feminine but not too girly.

When I opened the package the first thing I noticed was how soft the material was.

I also noticed that the strap was a lot wider in the back then most of the bras that I buy, It had three clips instead of  two.

So I tried it on

My boobs have never felt so good, they were supported but not pushed and pulled up. The bra feels natural

After adjusting the straps (which didn't need to be doubled over like most of my bras) I noticed how my boobs were actually PERKY!! I don't think I even put a shirt on for about an hour.

The bra is wonderful, I feel like I am sixteen again and I don't have to worry about saggy breasts! Right now I have it on under a t-shirt and it not only is comfy, but it looks wonderful, no extra padding, which is nice because I really don't need it

As far as breastfeeding, its very easy, the flap comes down but I still have support of my breast so I don't have to hold my boob, no under wire which eases my fear of mastitis!

I really love this bra, I think I'm going to breastfeed forever just so I can wear this bra. I don't think I had a bra that fit me this well before I breastfed!

Anybody know what a wet nurse makes?

Spring Goats

Today I would like to show you the goats at the farm

First we have Daddy smash with mama and her new baby! There were twins, one of them did not make it, but the new kid is up and doing great, he is skiddish like his mother, and she is very protective.

As you can see he's quickly adjusting to life as a goat, he's already mastered the art of standing on things

And Citrine following close behind her little one, we aren't really sure who the daddy of this goat is, we got Citrine from a friend of ours, who has lot of goats. She is very young
She is a great mom though

This little guy is very friendly

Its a big bummer that we didn't get any girls, we aren't keeping the mamas, we will be keeping them for a while though. We ordered a milking stand, so we will be trying to milk the mamas soon. I look forward to picking out more goats!

I am so excited to try to make soap and cheese!

These little guys are so much fun to watch run around, if you have the space, get a goat
